The Dravidian movement was premised on Tamil linguistic chauvinism, an outgrowth of Brahmin-hatred which was seeded by the Christian missionary, Bishop Robert Caldwell. Half a century later, the same Christian missionary apparatus made substantial inroads in Tamil politics and has now acquired frigh
